The macrc alpha begins
We are pleased to announce the beginning of the Alpha phase of our development on macRC. The application is still in development, but we decided to give the public a chance to see what the application will be capable of. We are also hoping to fix as many bugs as possible early on by testing the application in tons of different environments.
So, if you want to be part of the alpha testing, you can be, it is public and all you have to do is register download the application and register in the forum to give us feedback. Tell your friends, and help us get to as many people as possible.
Its free, we are not asking for pre orders or commitments, you can just download and run the app.
Currently, in Alpha 001, the application will only work with Call of Duty, 2, 4 and 5. We hope to expand this within a week or two. We have not included any features we have not got to a ‘working’ state, this includes favourites and extensive management tools.

Treyarch hiring for future Call of Duty
Treyarch is already working on another Call of Duty game, if recent job listings posted on the developer's website are anything to go by.
Numerous job listings have appeared on Treyarch's website, with the blurb in each suggesting that the developer is hiring employees to work on a new Call of Duty game.
One job ad for a Gameplay Combat Designer says that the position "reports into the Design Director for the Call of Duty multiplayer team at Treyarch", while another role for a Scripter may require that the applicant takes "a design test utilizing Call of Duty mod tools".
Other job listings ask for applicants to "be an expert on recent First Person Shooters", and another says that the successful applicant will be working on "combat systems (such as weapons and attachments) and gameplay mechanics (such as Perks and spawning)"
Treyarch's studio head Mark Lamia announced last year that the developer had become a "100-percent Call of Duty studio", and suggested that it would be utilising biennial development cycles for future Call of Duty games.
The developer released Call of Duty: Black Ops last year. Expect another Treyarch CoD in 2012.
This year's Call of Duty game is expected to be a combined effort between Sledgehammer Games, Infinity Ward and Raven Software. It was confirmed that the latter had contributed content to the Call of Duty series in a job listing revealed last week.

Call of Duty Elite delayed on PC
Activision has delayed Call of Duty: Elite on the PC due to the platform being “insecure”.
Beachhead Studio head Chacko Sonny told Activision’s Dan Amrich on the One of Swords blog that the developer wants to provide a safer environment for the platform.
“We’re as committed as ever to the PC, but the need to ensure a safe PC environment is greater than ever,” he said. “It’s really extensive. We need more time to get there, so Elite on PC will not launch on Day 1.
“We’re working our butts off to make it happen, but we won’t release it until we know that PC gamers can enjoy Elite as it’s meant to be.
“The issue here is that the PC is an insecure platform. Without a central, trusted resource for stats, a lot of our competition features become unfair. We can’t give away prizes when people can easily cheat their stats. Leaderboards are less fun when a lot of the users are there unfairly.”
On the bright side Product director Noah Heller did confirm that Elite on PC will be free for everyone.
“Not being able to trust stats is a big problem for our design,” he said. “Because of this, we had to re-imagine Elite for PC. Elite for PC will be about access to your own stats, or those of your friends. Basically establishing a circle of trust. And because it will have some reduced functionality, it will be free for everyone.
There is no new date for Elite at the moment, however there is no firm date, with Sonny saying that “It will be ready when it is ready.”
